I typically talk to the student about where they feel like they need to improve and what level they want to be playing at (high school varsity, college etc.) Then I run them through some basic drills, and I assess where they need to improve to get them there. Our sessions will mostly contain some main drills, but we will change and adapt our drills to keep things fresh. We will also do some sort of strength or conditioning. I have done all these drills and seen myself improve and get better through them. I also love to stress that basketball has a lot of life lessons to offer, and I want to pass that knowledge down. I know what its like to have a great mentor/trainer and I want to offer that to others as well! We will play A LOT. How are you suppose to use these drills I teach if we don't put them to use?
