About Charlie
I have been playing Bass for well over a decade now, and I am an experienced sight/chart reader.
I studied at BassTech in West London, and went on to play in several bands, one of which became particularly successful.
I have been teaching for just over 7 years, helping hundreds of students with grades and general knowledge.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have recently had contracts on a lot of cruise ships around the EU.
I have also been in a variety of Function bands, in which I have played everything from huge weddings to big Business Corporate events. With a set list in excess of 300+ songs from early Motown to the latest top 40.
I have toured the UK, Europe, North and South America.
Within those tours I have played SXSW (USA), Indie Week (Toronto), Bestival (UK), Download Festival (UK), Brownstock (UK), all of the major O2 Academy's nationwide, KoKo London, along with most of the other venues on the London gigging circuit.
I have gathered endorsements from 'Elixir Strings', 'Kramer Guitars', 'AMPEG Bass amps' and 'Overwater Basses'. I work closely with Chris May from Overwater, and it is a fantastic relationship.

Charlie is an amazing guitar tutor and I'd really recommend him. His lessons are always at your pace and he never makes you feel like you can't achieve something. He's so patient and the lessons are always fun. Thanks Charlie!
I'm a Guitarist and I've been working with Charlie to improve my guitar and music theory/reading abilities.
I've seen myself improve over a short space of time due to Charlie's lessons, here's my thoughts about Charlie.
Charlie is a very experienced musician who has an undying passion for music and teaching.
He is genuinely a very caring person who wants to see others improve their craft and he will tailor his lessons to achieving your personal goals.
He explains everything so well so it's easy to understand and is able to teach to any level of musician from complete beginner to a professional, there is huge value to his lessons no matter how proficient you are.
He is always happy to answer any questions and always tries to be as helpful as possible.
I definitely recommend him as a tutor.
