About Renaldo
My name is Renaldo. Before moving to New Zealand, I built my tutoring experience in South Africa, supporting many students to grow in confidence and academic ability. Now based in Auckland, I bring that same dedication together with a BCom in Finance and Accounting and more than three years of professional experience at private firms and the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).

My name is Renaldo. I take a practical, personalized and results-focused approach to tutoring. As a BCom graduate specializing in Finance and Accounting with over three years of professional experience working for private firms and the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), I bring real-world insights into every lesson. I make complex concepts in Maths, Accounting and Economics easy to understand by connecting theory to actual business and tax scenarios my students will encounter.
My teaching methodology combines clear step-by-step explanations, interactive problem-solving, regular practice with NCEA-style questions, and strong emphasis on exam techniques and time management. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long — long enough to cover new material thoroughly, work through examples together, and review key points without losing focus.
I teach NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3 students (usually Years 11–13, ages 14–18) in Maths, Accounting and Economics. My lessons are ideal for students who want to build confidence, improve their grades, prepare effectively for internals and externals, or aim for Merit and Excellence endorsements. I teach both online and at the student’s home in Auckland.
