About the lesson

I am Dr. H. K. Santhosh, a retired Professor with over 28 years of teaching experience and more than 10 years of specialized work in digital pedagogy, Moodle LMS implementation, and educational website development. I have designed and implemented Moodle-based learning environments for higher-education institutions, helping teachers and administrators use technology meaningfully in teaching, assessment, and learner support.

My online training is fully practical and intended for teachers, college faculty, aspiring educators, tutors, research scholars, and academic administrators who want to design, manage, and improve digital learning environments. The program includes 10 hours of live online classes and 20 hours of guided LMS-based practical activity.
My Teaching Approach

I teach through demonstration, guided practice, and independent application. Participants do not merely learn what an LMS is; they work directly inside a learning platform and develop the confidence to use it in their own teaching context.

The training focuses on:

Designing a well-structured Moodle course with sections, learning outcomes, resources, and activity plans.

Creating and organizing digital learning materials, including documents, videos, links, interactive resources, and self-learning modules.

Setting up learner enrollment, roles, groups, communication spaces, and course access.

Creating assignments, quizzes, discussion forums, attendance systems, feedback activities, and gradebook structures.

Using Moodle reports and activity-completion tools to monitor learner engagement and progress.

Applying digital-pedagogy principles to make online and blended classes participatory, inclusive, and outcome-oriented.

Selecting and integrating appropriate digital tools for teaching, assessment, collaboration, and academic communication.

Structure of the Course

Each live session introduces a specific aspect of Moodle LMS management or digital teaching, followed by a step-by-step demonstration. Participants then complete related hands-on tasks within the LMS during the guided activity component.

By the end of the program, each participant will have experience in designing an LMS course shell, uploading and sequencing learning resources, creating learning activities and assessments, managing learners, and reviewing course participation. The emphasis is on building a usable course rather than acquiring only theoretical knowledge.
What Makes My Training Different

My expertise is grounded in both academic teaching and large-scale LMS practice. I have served as a master trainer for the Kerala State Higher Education Council’s Moodle mission, conducted Moodle training connected with the Let Us Go Digital Mission for faculty from 62 arts and science colleges, and developed Moodle implementations for institutions including Government Brennan College, SNGS College Pattambi, MA College Kothamangalam, St. Michael’s College Cherthala, VV College Kanchikode etc.

As an educator and LMS designer, I help participants connect platform features with real classroom needs: course design, learner engagement, assessment, feedback, quality assurance, and academic administration. My method is especially suitable for beginners who need clear guidance as well as experienced teachers seeking to redesign their courses for blended or fully online learning.
