About Nora
I am Nora Bennett, a computer programming tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 6 years of experience teaching programming to students from high school to college level. I’ve worked with students of all skill levels, from beginners learning Python to those tackling advanced algorithms and data structures.
My goal is to provide hands-on coding experience that prepares students for real-world problem-solving and career opportunities in software development, web design, and data science. I use a project-based approach to teaching, which allows students to immediately apply what they’ve learned in practical, tangible ways. Many of my students have gone on to pursue careers in tech and even start their own coding projects and apps.
I am dedicated to creating an engaging, supportive environment where students can grow, make mistakes, and learn to become confident coders. Through my lessons, students not only master coding but also develop critical thinking skills that can be applied in many areas of their academic and professional lives.

As a programming tutor, I provide one-on-one lessons designed to help students master the key concepts of computer programming. Whether you’re starting with Python, Java, or web development (HTML/CSS), I ensure that each lesson builds on your previous knowledge, leading you to real-world applications and practical coding skills. We start with the basics of logic building, problem-solving, and syntax, then progress to writing programs, building websites, and exploring databases with SQL.
Throughout our lessons, I focus on project-based learning, meaning you’ll apply what you’ve learned to build actual applications—like creating a personal website, coding a simple game, or developing a data-driven program. I also cover advanced topics such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming (OOP), which are essential for more experienced coders and those looking to pursue a career in tech.
I understand that coding can be challenging, so I take a step-by-step approach to ensure that students fully grasp each concept before moving on to more advanced topics. I incorporate lots of practice problems and real-world scenarios, which allow students to gain hands-on experience while also solidifying their theoretical knowledge.
