About Bruce
At the ripe old age of 62 I began teaching myself how to play the bass guitar with a few instructors along the way. It was all too confusing for me so I began taking a little bit from all my material to put together something easy that would give me the satisfaction of actually learning something.
I got to the point where I've now played in three bands and most importantly, I can sit down and play along with my favorite songs and feel good about my performance.

Learn how to play bass guitar by learning the basslines to your favorite songs. After easily learning some musical basics, you'll be surprised by how quickly you can find a bass groove and make it your own in a song.
Learning Music theory and all the ways to play chords and scales has its place, and at some point you may want to learn the depths of music. But if you want to put a smile on your face because you can play a bassline to one of your favorite songs, give me an opportunity to show how much you can learn by playing easy songs which will lead to playing any song.
