About Gavin

I'm a very experienced guitarist and teacher from Dublin, and I firmly believe that anyone can learn to play this instrument with just 10 minutes of daily practice! Let's nail the basics together and get you playing your favorite songs ASAP!

About the lesson

I am a very patient teacher from Dublin with years of experience and I have always got a huge kick out of helping people reach their goals! I teach any age at all! (As age is irrelevant!) and I prefer to focus on Beginner to Intermediate levels as I love watching students fall in love with the instrument! When learning any new skill, nailing the basics and practicing the right habits from the start is massively important. This is no different with guitar! After ingraining those basics with me, it will be time to focus on the skills that matter most to master your chosen songs! Experience- -I have played guitar for 20 plus years! -Classical Trinity Guildhall qualifications up to grade 6 (First 5 years of playing) -Acoustic Fingerstyle and Percussion (Following 15 years to date) out of a passion for music by artists such as Andy McKee and Sungha Jung! -I have performed both Fingerstyle and Percussion pieces multiple times at concerts and promotional guitar events over the years! I offer 1 hour long lessons and can do both Online and in Person! Just send me a message and I'll get you to your goals!

Perfect! I had a really great experience learning guitar with Gavin as a complete beginner. He was incredibly patient and always made sure I felt comfortable progressing at my own pace. What stood out most was how well he tailored each lesson to my level—nothing ever felt overwhelming, and everything built naturally from one session to the next. The lessons were not only effective but genuinely enjoyable, which made it much easier to stay motivated.
