About Duncan

Hi, I’m Duncan, a singer and performer based in Inverness.

Singing has been a big part of my life, and I regularly perform live for different audiences, from care homes and private events to parties and my own Elvis tribute performances.

I’m passionate about helping people discover their voice and, most importantly, enjoy singing. I know that confidence can be one of the biggest barriers, especially when you're singing in front of someone else, so I aim to make my lessons relaxed, encouraging and completely judgement-free.

Whether you're a complete beginner, haven't sung for years, or simply want to improve your voice, I'm happy to work at your pace. We can focus on things such as pitch, breathing, vocal control, phrasing, microphone technique and performance confidence, while using songs that you actually enjoy.

My goal is simple: to help you become a more confident singer while making the lessons enjoyable along the way.

Always wanted to learn to sing but never felt confident enough to try?

Hi, I’m Duncan, a singer and performer based in the Inverness area. I offer friendly, relaxed singing lessons for beginners and adults who want to improve their voice and confidence.

Whether you've never had a singing lesson before, you sing for fun at home, or you'd simply like to feel more comfortable singing in front of other people, I'll help you work towards becoming a more confident singer.

Lessons can be tailored around you and your goals, including:

Building confidence
Pitch and tuning
Breathing and vocal support
Vocal control and phrasing
️ Microphone technique
Developing your natural voice
Performance and stage confidence
Learning songs you actually enjoy singing

You don't need to be able to read music and no previous singing experience is required.

I believe singing lessons should be enjoyable, so rather than spending an hour doing exercises that don't interest you, we'll use songs you actually like to help develop your voice.

I'm particularly experienced with classic popular music, including Elvis, Engelbert Humperdinck, Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Glen Campbell and many other well-known artists, as well as more modern material.

Learn from a working performer.

Alongside teaching, I'm an active singer and performer, including live performances and Elvis tribute work.

This means lessons can go beyond simply singing the right notes. If you'd like to perform, we can work on things such as microphone technique, phrasing, stage presence and how to feel more comfortable in front of an audience.

Completely beginner-friendly.

Don't worry. That's exactly what lessons are for.

We'll start from wherever you are and work at a pace that feels comfortable.

Lessons are £30 per hour. This is a full hour of tutoring tailored to you. I do offer packages if paid in advance.
