About Shari
Graduating with an Artist Diploma in Music Performance from the Curtis Institute of Music provided the foundation for my 13 years of experience. I bring a strong musical background and a patient approach to every lesson.
Teaching violin involves music theory, sight reading, grade exam preparation including ABRSM and Trinity, left-hand agility, rhythm and timing, orchestral playing, shifting positions, scales and arpeggios, and tuning by ear. I help students develop these skills through clear instruction and consistent practice.
I offer calm and patient guidance to help students gain confidence in their playing. My goal is to create steady progress while helping each student build strong technique, musical understanding, and independence. Results come from consistent practice.

Focusing on the mechanics of music helps students build a solid foundation before they even touch the bow. You will find that precise left hand agility and rhythm training transform your playing experience.
I provide a monthly progress report shared with parents to ensure everyone stays aligned on development goals. The process of shifting positions and tuning by ear becomes intuitive through 13 years of technical habit building. My curriculum is grounded in the rigors of my Curtis Institute of Music training. You will step onto the stage with total confidence.
