About Ellie kate
I am currently a sophomore at Belmont University with a major in Marketing and minor in Entertainment Industries in hopes of doing either film or music marketing. I have been playing piano since I was 8 years old (so 11 years now) and taught piano at a local music school during my last two years of high school (with a total of 12 students)! I can't wait to get back into teaching and furthering my own appreciation for piano!

As a piano tutor for beginner students aged 5-12, my approach focuses on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that nurtures both skill development and a love for music. I tailor lessons to each student's proficiency by working through piano books at their level, while incorporating fun activities like bingo, flash cards, and "Name That Tune" to help reinforce musical concepts. To keep motivation high, I offer small rewards for hard work and exceptional progress. Each lesson begins with a warm-up activity, such as Hanon exercises, to build technique and finger strength, followed by practicing assigned songs or lessons that gradually increase in difficulty. I conclude sessions with a game or activity, making sure the learning experience ends on a positive and enjoyable note. What sets me apart is my focus on balancing structured learning with creative, interactive elements, ensuring that each child not only learns the piano but enjoys the process!
