About John
"Pacing is the secret to vocal health as I track your progress through sight singing and warm up exercises. My instruction is based on the reality that the voice is a physical instrument requiring consistent maintenance. We spend our time refining tone and articulation while monitoring your progress across 60 minute blocks.
11 years of experience allows me to offer specific adjustments that help you find ease during challenging repertoire. I aim to ensure that every singer feels heard and supported throughout the process. My background as a BMus graduate means I provide a high level of academic rigour combined with a patient approach.
You will leave the studio feeling physically connected and ready to practise with clarity. I look forward to hearing your progress in our next session together."

I draw on 11 years of experience to guide students through resonance and diction. My teaching covers ABRSM and Trinity grades alongside choral scholarship preparation. Conservatoire audition coaching is a core part of my work for aspiring music college students.
I balance classical technique with pop and musical theatre genre styling. Personally, I find great joy in watching students regain their vocal confidence after a long break."
