About Shanna

I'm a part-time teacher at an International School, where I teach science and math to middle and high school students—and it’s been incredibly rewarding! Students regularly ask to have me back as their tutor, and I've become known for my friendly, approachable style that makes learning feel less like work and more like a discovery.

With a 4.0 GPA at UC Berkeley and a 1570 SAT score, I understand the drive for academic success and the strategies to get there. My focus is on simplifying complicated concepts, creating personalized learning plans, and making sure knowledge truly sticks with you.

Hi! I’m Shanna, a UC Berkeley student with double majors in Economics and Integrative Biology and two years of experience teaching math, science, and biology to middle and high school students right here in San Francisco. My goal? To make learning simple, memorable, and tailored to your style. I’ve got creative techniques and tricks to help you really get it, no matter how complex the topic seems.

I know every student learns differently, so I’ll create a personalized plan that adjusts to your needs each session. You’ll feel like you’re learning with a friend, not just a tutor. I’m quick to respond, and you’ll have access to my notes, recordings, and even quick answers outside of class.

When it comes to my studies at an international school, I was aiming to take AP biology and AP Caculus. Under her guidance, I was able to achieve scores of four and five. As for English, I was preparing for the TOEFL exam. In just three months, she helped me raise my score from 90 to 110. She is dedicated, knowledgeable, and has unique teaching methods that make learning engaging and effective.
