About William
I'm currently pursuing my M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at UC Berkeley, building on a strong foundation of academic achievement. I scored a 1580 on the SAT and 35 on the ACT, and earned 4s and 5s across all 12 of my AP exams, including Calculus BC, Physics C (both Mechanics and E&M), Statistics, Computer Science A, and Biology.
Teaching has been part of my life for years. I started tutoring my two younger brothers when I was young, which sparked my passion for education. In high school, I formalized this experience by serving as Peer Tutoring President, where I coordinated programs and mentored fellow students. I understand the pressure of standardized testing and rigorous coursework firsthand, and I'm committed to providing patient, personalized instruction that builds both competence and confidence. My goal is simple. To help students not just pass exams, but to truly internalize the material.

From tutoring my two younger brothers to my peers, I've spent many years breaking down complex concepts in ways that actually make sense. My teaching style is student-centered, built around understanding and inquiry, not just memorization.
You can expect each tutoring session to start with a short, focused review of that week's coursework, then transition into guided problem-solving where the student takes the lead. I use inquiry-based learning to help students discover solutions themselves, asking the right questions to push their thinking forward. We will then wrap up by creating a concrete game plan for the week ahead, so students feel prepared and confident.
Best for: Middle and high school students preparing for AP courses (especially STEM subjects), SAT/ACT prep, or anyone looking to strengthen their foundation in math and science. I'm patient, approachable, and committed to making learning actually enjoyable!
