About Nirupam

I am a guitarist, songwriter, and music industry professional. I hold a bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music with an emphasis in performance and songwriting. I also have a masters degree in music business from USC.
I have worked in every single area of the music industry and have a complete understanding of the business as a whole. I currently am on the management team for some of the biggest rock acts in the world including Slash, Stone Temple Pilots, The White Buffalo, and Evanescence.
I'm also a seasoned guitarist and an excellent educator.

About the lesson

Whether you're a beginner or a more advanced learner, my lessons are tailored to fit your goals as a musician, and my aim is to provide you with holistic coaching that goes beyond playing an instrument. Here's what you'll get with me:

1. Complete guitar instruction - beginner to advanced, all styles including classical guitar, with custom-made practice plans, transcriptions, and songs

2. Music Theory - Complete breakdown of music theory concepts that'll equip you to be a better player. Each student will be receiving a tailor-made music theory workbook with exercises, illustrations, concepts, and quizzes to make it fun!

3. Live Sound/Performance techniques - Have you ever wondered why guitarists on stage have millions of pedals? Fret not, I'll teach you everything you need to know about guitar pedals, amp simulators, guitar models, etc, so that you can sound like your dream player.

4. Music Business - The business side of the industry is vast and complex. How do you survive in this day and age as a full-time musician and make money from several different income streams? I'll teach you everything you need to know about the recording business, publishing, live touring, sync, merchandise, etc.

Putting it all together - My goal is to make my students not just better musicians but well-trained music professionals that are knowledgeable enough to understand the industry as a whole and can navigate it with ease.
