About Violet
Who am I?
I’m a Berklee College of Music Alumnus with a decade of experience teaching lessons! In addition to playing piano for 23 years, I have a decade of experience composing and producing! I can teach music theory at all levels from beginner to advanced, and have played hundreds of shows and cut countless records. I am a proud member of the trans community here in New York and am well connected with the local scene.

My primary focus as an instructor is to get you making the music *you want to make.*
I accomplish this by focusing on using your ears and developing an understanding of how music works, rather than relying on mind numbing drills and exercises. Your musical interests will be our guide!
