About Maxwell
I’ve been playing Bass for about 12 years now. My grandfather was a professional upright player, playing jazz, classical, rock, pop and more throughout his career. I learned from him starting classically trained, and then later moved into jazz in high school. I attended Berklee College of Music earning a degree in bass performance. Through my time I was able to learn with Victor Wooten, John Patitucci, Marcus Miller, Linda Oh and more. Through my journey I experienced so many different genres of music and have been able to travel around the US and world performing at clubs and festivals. Now I reside in NYC continuing my musical endeavors playing gigs and recording at studio sessions.

I always think it’s so important to integrate something that you’re passionate about and like into lessons. Even though I was classically trained, I played a lot of rock and metal early on, and finding a way to integrate multiple styles into learning is an important thing to me. I will help you learn how to have fretboard fluidity, dexterity, and build up speed on the instrument. I will also be using techniques I learned from the Berklee curriculum and integrate it into our learnings together. Whether you’re looking to take your hobby to the next level, or prepare to become a serious musician, I’m here to help the best I can!
