About Justin
Sitting in my childhood bedroom with a stack of worn cassette tapes was the start of my musical path. Those early days taught me how to listen before I knew what a scale was. Formalizing that instinct at Berklee provided the framework to bridge the gap between intuition and craft. I have spent 13 years refining how to translate complex ideas into something playable for everyone.
During this time, I have guided many students through the frustrations of their first chord changes. My approach combines that raw, self-taught curiosity with the discipline found in academic music theory. It is a unique balance that respects the player who just wants to shred and the student who craves technical precision.
I help you navigate the fretboard with a focus on SOUNDSCAPES and pedals. Sharing these techniques remains a daily highlight of my working life. You will find that my style is laid back and focused on building your confidence.

Focusing on the theory often makes players forget the joy of simply making noise. I find that starting with the pedalboard instead of the scale helps students find their voice quickly. Beginners and advanced players alike struggle with the same wall of sound confusion, so we clear that out early.
You get a custom practice module with every session to keep your momentum high throughout the week. These short tasks ensure you stay on track without ever feeling like you are back in a dull classroom. Playing should feel like a relief rather than a chore.
