About Sophia
With a decade of experience teaching piano, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including young beginners, college learners, and working professionals. My teaching philosophy combines patience, encouragement, and creativity, allowing students to progress at their own pace while developing technical proficiency and artistic expression.
I have helped students perform in recitals, participate in competitions, and complete graded exams successfully. Lessons include technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills, all customized to the student’s goals and interests. I strive to inspire confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music while making every lesson engaging and meaningful.

I follow a teaching approach based on compassion, encouragement, and continuous support. I believe that students learn best when they feel understood, motivated, and confident in their abilities. In piano lessons, I focus on building technical skills, musicality, rhythm, and creative expression, combining structured exercises with enjoyable practice pieces.
I maintain open communication, allowing students to ask questions, share feedback, and actively participate in lessons. Supportiveness is central—I celebrate achievements, guide students through challenges, and help them build confidence and self-belief.
This approach extends to other subjects I teach, including music theory, composition, and beginner improvisation. My goal is to create a nurturing and inspiring environment where students grow musically, creatively, and personally while developing a lifelong love for learning.
