About William L
I come from a literary family, but have made my career primarily as a mechanical engineer. There has also been some study of law, with work as a law clerk. I am an inventor, holder of patents pending. My Bachelor's degree is from Wyoming in 1976, and I have informally tutored students from time to time ever since. I've also home schooled four of my own children, until they entered or completed high school, often on the honor roll. My work has taken me all over the United States, and some high level security employment for the government.

I can teach individuals or small groups in person, or remote through social media. My teaching method is very casual and informal for the most part, and begins by listening to the student's needs - then proceed from wherever they are. Had trouble with a recent test? Let's go through and see what you needed to know, so you will be ready for the next one. Confused about a particular topic, and getting frustrated with yourself or your school? Let's try to sort out what your original teacher was trying to get across together, and work to find the light. Every pupil can learn in much greater depth than they realize, if they are just willing to really try and keep after it. There are some fine tips and even a few short cuts, but no substitute for time and effort in the long run.
