About Michaela
Art has always been a part of my life, beginning art lessons when I was 7 years old, continuing until I studied Drawing and Painting at California State University, Fullerton. While at CSUF I also studied for 1 year at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy, focusing mainly on oil painting. Since graduating in 2018, I immediately began teaching fine art and continued to work on my personal artwork. Through the years, I have shown my work worldwide and have gained dozens of collectors year after year. One of the subjects I'm most passionate about is color theory of which I have spent years studying and creating a simple and digestible method for teaching. Over the last 3 years, I have had the privilege of offering one-on-one art lessons for adults from my home studio in Fullerton, many of whom have taken lessons for that entire time! I cannot wait to connect with you and work together to help you achieve to your artistic goals!

Hi there! I have been working as a professional oil painter and fine art instructor to adults for almost 5 years now. I am passionate about working with beginners and intermediate level students who would like to learn foundational drawing and painting skills. I ensure that each student has specialized lessons that guide them to their particular goals, while always focusing on drawing and painting fundamentals. Some of the subjects I offer include, specific drawing skills in graphite and charcoal, basic - advanced oil painting, color theory, composition, portraiture, landscape painting and more. I am confident that using the techniques I show you, with practice, you will be able to draw and paint anything you'd like!
