About Zuri

Practicing the piano feels like a natural extension of my theater work. It is funny how 13 years of professional performing eventually funnels back into the discipline of teaching others to play. My BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts gave me the technical rigor required to break down complex concepts like chord voicing and pedaling technique.

I enjoy working with students to refine their posture, hand position, and overall musicality during sessions. Helping people understand rhythm, timing, and sight reading feels rewarding because these skills provide genuine independence at the keyboard. I use my background as a working artist to ensure that your lessons are grounded in the realities of actual musicianship. Playing for others is always the most enjoyable part of the process for me.
