About Ian
Hey, I'm Ian. I've got a computer science degree with a minor in math, and I'm a fluent French speaker, so those are the things I help people with coding, French, and the basics if you're in high school.
I am also a college soccer player, which probably tells you something about how I work: I'm disciplined, I show up, and I know what it's like to grind at something until it clicks. That's how I approach tutoring too. I'm not going to make you feel dumb for not getting something the first time. I've been the person struggling to understand a concept, and I know the right explanation can change everything.
My style is pretty relaxed but focused. We figure out what you're stuck on, I break it down in a way that actually makes sense, and we go at your pace. No pressure, no judgment, just real progress.
If you're on the fence, just send me a message about what you're working on and we'll take it from there.

I'm a computer science graduate who loves making hard subjects feel simple. Whether you're learning to code for the first time, prepping for a class, or finally trying to get comfortable speaking French, my goal is the same: help you actually understand the material, not just memorize it.
For programming, I teach the fundamentals clearly. Java and Python, the logic behind how code works, and how to debug your own mistakes so you build real confidence. I work with complete beginners and with students who are stuck in a class and need things explained a different way than their textbook does.
As for French, I am fluent and bilingual, and I focus on what most classrooms skip: actually speaking and being understood. We'll work at your pace, on real conversation, grammar that makes sense, and the vocabulary you'll use.
I am patient, I don't rush, and I adjust to how you learn best. Lessons are online, so we can meet wherever works for you. If you're not sure where to start, just message me what you're working on and we'll build a plan together.
