About Vincent
I had my baccalaureate at the European school, scientific option with distinction, in 2015, and I gave private lessons at the request of my teacher during my last year. I then did the entrance exam and started polytechnic, where I spent 2 years before reorienting myself in industrial engineering at ecam. Health concerns gave me time which helped me realize that I didn't like this theoretical field, and luckily it was not too late in my studies to change. Therefore, in 2017 I started these new studies at ECAM which I really like, mostly because they allow me to understand what I'm studying rather than just learning it. Here we are 3 years later and I am doing a Masters in computer science option.

There is no miracle methodology, some students don't understand the material because they just don't want to work, with them it's just giving them exercises and staying with them while they do them. For these students, I prefer to give them additional homework and correct them with them during my class, so that I can answer their questions directly, or, if they already have too much homework, going through their homework with them without handing the answer but by hinting in the good direction.
Some people need a different approach to the material than that of the teacher, making parallels with other subjects allows them to better understand, once the right angle has been found, we just need a few exercises and we can see that everything is settled for the chapter.
Then some students just want the concrete, explaining mathematics or physics to them by explaining the utility behind in the real world gives them enough benchmarks and technical memos to make the course child's play for them.
I'll be honest with you, I never understood trigonometry in maths (only learned them by heart) before seeing in physics why we needed them. Once I saw them in physics, everything made sense and I only had to learn a fourth of the formulas, the rest were just obvious.
