About Ilana
Hello! I’m Ilana, a bilingual Italian–English speaker and a Modern Languages with Translation student at university. I grew up in Italy and now live and study in Oxford, which has given me strong academic and real-life experience in both languages. I have worked in hospitality and international student support, and I’m used to communicating clearly with people of all ages and backgrounds. I’m patient, organised and attentive to detail, and I always make sure that students feel comfortable, understood and supported. I adapt my lessons to each learner’s level, goals and personality. Whether you need help with homework, want to improve your speaking confidence, or simply wish to practise Italian in a relaxed and friendly environment.

I always adapt my lessons to the age, level and personal goals of each student. Whether it’s talking and playing with young children, helping teenagers with homework, or practising conversation with adults, I adjust the pace, style and activities to what works best for that person. How I Teach: -Simple, clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary -Step-by-step homework support -Conversation practice based on the student’s interests and daily life -A mix of speaking, reading or exercises depending on the student’s preferred learning style -Encouraging correction to build confidence and fluency My Background: I am a bilingual Italian–English speaker and a Modern Languages with Translation student. I grew up in Italy and now study in the UK, giving me strong skills in both languages and experience helping others improve. Who I Teach: -children -teenagers -university students -adults beginners to advanced learners My aim is to create a comfortable space where every student feels supported and able to progress at their own pace.
