About Leonore

I have been giving private lessons to pre-school children, school children, university students, business people, and retired people from all five continents for more than three decades and I always preferred giving one-to-one classes because the student benefits so much more. Lessons can be set to your individual pace and I can fully concentrate on supporting you. I grew up with English and German and went to a private academy for interpreting and translating. I am very well versed with the grammar of both languages - English and German. Many of my students prepare for the Goethe-Zertifikat with me and I am very proud that 99% of my students passed the exam at the Goethe Institut (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) with "sehr gut" (excellent).

About the lesson

Hello and welcome to my profile :) I am Leonore and my approach to teaching is a mixture of written material such as books and my own exercises which I tailor and design according to your individual needs. Just send me a message and we can arrange a first free lesson to talk about your personal wishes and requirements in detail. All the books and printed material I am working with are in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference For Languages) as well as the learning material that I prepare for you. During my lessons, I focus on a student-centered teaching style and I am emphasizing all four abilities "speaking", "listening", "reading" and "writing" during my lessons.

During the lessons with Christine we are preparing her to take an advanced certificate in German.

Our grammar exercises are covering level C1 - according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) stipulations.

Niveaustufe C1 (advanced) mit den folgenden grammatikalischen Themen:
Syntax, Fall-Deklinationen, Präpositionen, Modalverben, Adjektiv-Deklination, indirekte Rede, Verben mit trennbaren und nicht trennbaren Präfixen.

The atmosphere during our lessons is easygoing and target oriented. I really enjoy working with Christine : )
