Introduction lesson (40mins) - Introducing myself and the student - Understanding what the student would like help with/ what they would like to focus on in regards to the subject. - Creating a lesson plan that the student is happy with and that will help them progress academically in the subject. - Confirming when they would like to have their weekly sessions. Weekly lesson (1hr) - The student will mention what they are currently learning at school and what they are struggling with personally. - There will be dedicated time to go through what they are struggling with and there will also be time to go through what they are studying at school. - I can give worksheets on both what the student would like to work on and what they are studying in school. - The student can go through the worksheet that I set them and whatever they do not finish, they can complete for homework. -They would need to send it before the next lesson so that the marked work can be sent in time for the next lesson. For topic tests/ mocks -The student can mention which of the assessed concepts/ topics they struggle with the most and we can go through them in preparation for the topic test/ mock. -We can go through more worksheets so that the student has enough revision material. Any queries or concerns that the student may have, they can feel free to ask and I would be happy to help.

Marie has excellent competencies in teaching French. Considering this is her native language, Marie has the ability to teach beyond basic French language skills. This will propel students to succeed in both academic and francophone social contexts. Her outstanding GCSE and Alevel achievements demonstrate her grasp of the English educational system. Furthermore, Marie is currently an undergraduate in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), which makes her incredibly reflective and well read on political, economic, social and cultural factors. These perspectives are often the differential that lead to students achieving top marking criteria. Therefore, I trust that Marie’s warm nature, background, and solid knowledge base, makes her an exceptional tutor.
Marie is very kind and patient in people’s learning. She is very passionate and a French native. In my opinion she is the best person to learn or develop your French skills with as her lively character will make it super fun to learn.
Marie has a great plan on how to tutor students in French based on and paired with her native knowledge of the language and teaching skills. Born in France, she is not only a native French speaker, mastering the language in everyday life, but also has a very strong academic background. Achieving an A* at GCSE and A at A-level respectively, she knows all about what to practice well in school to succeed. In order to facilitate this success for her students, she will not only teach them but also interact with them by focusing mainly on topics currently relevant for them academically or personally, their homework or tests they’re preparing for. And all this not only with the contents provided by schools but also her very own papers. Given her personal success with her methods and her strong motivation to help others achieve similar goals, I am sure Marie will be a strong and engaging tutor, brining fun and great progress to the French-learning journey of her students.
I had very basic French knowledge before being taught by Marie, however she has helped me further advance into where I can confidently hold conversation as well as read to a sufficient level.
Marie is a kind, welcoming and very friendly teacher, who was always very prepared and ready to teach. Marie always put a lot of effort and thought into her lessons, which has allowed me to gain the French skills, therefore would definitely recommend her as a trustworthy individual.
