About Johana
Hey there! I am a philosopher with a passion for languages and words. I am from Colombia so I am a native Spanish speaker, but lived in the US for about three years. I have a TESOL certificate and experience teaching English as a second language to kids and especially adults.
I love music (it was a huge part of my English learning journey), reading, and watching movies and TV shows. I also have a big passion for writing and often find myself journaling for fun or creating short stories.

I have been though the emotional rollercoaster that is learning a new language. I like to be a coach who pushes you (in a good sense) to always do your best, to keep your goal in mind as a motivation to do every exercise and succeed in your journey. I know that we all learn in different ways and I will adapt to this. I will create a safe learning environment so you feel comfortable.
A typical lesson plan:
- Review previous lesson as a warm up
- Present the new topic
- Practice together
- Practice time for you!
