About Maricel

Growing up between the UK and Spain gave me deep insight into both cultures. I speak Castilian Spanish with a very open accent, and my bilingual upbringing means I understand exactly where English speakers get stuck with Spanish concepts. I've been helping people bridge these two worlds through conversation since 2016, specialising in preparing travellers and Spain-bound dreamers for authentic experiences via immersive one-to-one conversations.

How We Learn Together: Each lesson flows organically based on your interests and goals. I guide conversations that stretch your vocabulary and grammar naturally, correcting gently as we go. Rather than memorising rules, you'll absorb Spanish patterns through meaningful discussions. I weave in cultural insights throughout - explaining why Spaniards do things differently, sharing regional variations, and preparing you for real Spanish interactions. Lesson Format: Sessions are typically 60 minutes, giving us time to really dive into topics and build conversational flow. We might start discussing your weekend plans and end up exploring Andalusian traditions. That's how natural conversation works! I keep things relaxed but purposeful, ensuring you're always progressing while enjoying the journey.
