About Sidney
I’m a bilingual vocal coach (English, Cantonese, and Mandarin) specialising in commercial pop singing, with over 15 years of experience across live performance, band settings, and studio recording. Having performed extensively and reached finalist positions in multiple vocal competitions, I understand both the artistic and technical demands of singing at a high level.
My teaching blends influences from Western and Chinese pop artists such as Adele, Christina Aguilera, Bruno Mars, Joey Yung, A-Lin, A-Mei, G.E.M., and Jay Fung, combining contemporary styles with a strong technical foundation.
My approach is grounded in Estill Voice Training, a science-based system that develops precise control of the voice. I completed Estill Levels 1 and 2 at the Royal Academy of Music in 2025 and am currently training towards the Estill Master Trainer (EMT) certification under Anne-Marie Speed.
Through this method, I help students:
• Improve vocal clarity and tone
• Build stamina and vocal health
• Expand range and flexibility

Struggling with tension, limited range, or lack of confidence in your singing—even if you’re just starting out?
I help singers of all levels build a healthy, reliable voice using a structured, science-based approach, while developing their own unique sound in both English and Chinese pop styles.
I support students in preparing for both live performance and studio work, helping them develop:
• Consistent vocal control
• Confidence and stage presence
• Tools to manage performance anxiety
I also specialise in helping students learn Mandarin and Cantonese songs, guiding them through:
• Accurate pronunciation and diction
• Tone clarity (especially important in tonal languages)
• Natural phrasing and expression
This is particularly valuable for non-native speakers who want to sing Chinese pop songs with authenticity and confidence.
In addition to singing, I offer spoken voice coaching, supporting clients experiencing vocal fatigue, hoarseness, or reduced projection to regain clarity, ease, and vocal stamina.
