About Kyle
I had an 800 SAT score and have taken BC calc and precalc. I have experience being a STEM tutor for two years and am a freshman in college now. I have also had experience coaching kids in soccer and working at Whole Foods. I am flexible with my hours and love teaching.

As a tutor, my goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why the answer works. I believe math becomes much easier when concepts are broken down step-by-step and connected to patterns students already know.
Teaching Method & Techniques
I focus on explaining ideas in simple language, then guiding students through examples together before letting them try problems on their own. I use questioning techniques to help students think through the process rather than memorizing steps. If something isn’t clear, I explain it in multiple ways until it clicks. Kyle, for example, improved the most once we focused on understanding the reasoning behind formulas rather than rushing through practice problems.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A lesson usually begins with a short review of previous material and any homework questions. Then we introduce the new concept, work through examples together, and practice problems of increasing difficulty. At the end, I summarize the key ideas and give targeted practice so students leave confident about what they learned.
What Sets Me Apart
I am patient and adjust my explanations to match each student’s learning style. I focus on building confidence as well as skills, because many students struggle with math due to anxiety rather than ability. My goal is to make students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while learning.
Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for middle school, high school, and early college students who need help with algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, or general math foundations. They are especially helpful for students who feel stuck, need clearer explanations, or want to improve their problem-solving skills.
