My approach can be adaptable to the student, but generally I will have the student forward a copy of their syllabus, as well as communicate weekly any topics that are particularly difficult or need extra attention. I divide teaching time into thirds, with one third being a review mini lecture, one third being open to work on practice problems together, and the last third being open time for the student to ask questions about material or assignments.
I am approaching graduation and preparing to enter a biochemistry masters program. Cumulative 3.8 GPA- with completion of general chemistries and labs, organic chemistries and labs, biochemistry and labs as well as graduate level biochemistry series. Experience with research and seminar instructing, as well as experience tutoring students completing courses at the Ohio State University’s main campus.
