About Ben
I am a Biochemistry Graduate form the University of Bristol. I am hardworking, and well read in several fields of life. I have 2 years of lab experience working in a clinical microbiology lab which aimed to produce alternative medication to conventional antibiotic therapies.
I am very well-accustomed to lab practices, and understand the career opportunities for scientists. I spend lots of time reading philosophical books, and love to learn more about our way of life and how it has changed over millennia.
I have a personal passion in deep history, particularly that of the upper-paleolithic era. I am constantly fascinated at the evolution of humans, looking into the key behavioural changes within our species such as the kitchen and agricultural revolutions, the psychology and evolutionary significance of having a tribe, and how these core concepts are maintained or lost as time goes on.

I can give online or in person lessons. I like to use the relevant mark schemes to ensure students understand the core concepts of the topic and attain a good mark in examinations. I build from the basics to more advanced concepts depending on the student, and like to use real life examples - where applicable - to make the content relevant for life, and not just writing on a piece of paper to revise. With my help, my students will develop a passion for their subject, and begin to see it in their everyday life. I like to target my students curiosity so that it no longer feels like a chore, but a privilege to learn and understand the world in a profound way.
I achieved a strong 2:1 in biochemistry at the University of Bristol, and have archived every single lecture in my individual notes. I got three A's at A level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I have tutored my younger brother for about 3-5 years, helping him achieve an A in physics from being predicted a B.
I am good at questioning my students in a non-pressured way to discover their depth of knowledge, and commit lots of personal time to curating the relevant tutoring sessions for the individual.
My lessons can be for any age and level.
