About Eyram
My name is Eyram, a Biochemistry graduate with advanced training in Biotechnology, giving me a strong academic foundation in the Life Sciences.
I have a deep passion for teaching and simplifying scientific concepts. I believe that every student is capable of excelling when they are taught in the right way and at the right pace and I am a good product of such. My role as a tutor is not just to teach but to make sure every student walks away from each session with genuine understanding and real confidence in the subject.
My academic background in Biochemistry and Biotechnology means I understand the human body at every level, from molecules and cells all the way up to organs and body systems. This gives my students a richer and deeper understanding of anatomy than they would get from memorizing textbook diagrams alone.
I am fully committed to the success of every student I work with. I create a safe and supportive learning environment where no question is too small and no topic is too difficult to tackle together. My teaching approach is always based on understanding the concept. I myself enjoy it when I understand a concept because I do not need to memorize. It just stays with me naturally. I use simple and clear examples to break down complex topics so students can follow along without ever feeling overwhelmed.
I encourage students to ask questions at every point when they need clarity so I can address it immediately and move on without leaving any gaps. I also use diagrams, visual aids and drawings a lot in my presentations and teachings because I believe seeing something makes it much easier to understand than just reading or hearing about it.
A TYPICAL LESSON PLAN
Every lesson can be different depending on the student but a standard session for all students follows this structure:
1. REVIEW (10 minutes)
We begin every session by reviewing what was covered in the previous lesson. This helps reinforce what was already learned and makes sure nothing important was left behind before we move forward.
2. INTRODUCTION OF NEW TOPIC (15 minutes)
I introduce the new topic using simple everyday language and relatable analogies before going into any detail. I always start with the big picture so the student understands where the topic fits before we zoom into the specifics.
3. DETAILED EXPLANATION (20 minutes)
We go through the topic in full depth using diagrams and visual aids. I explain step by step and make sure the student is following at every stage before moving on.
4. STUDENT PRACTICE (10 minutes)
The student attempts practice questions or explains the concept back to me in their own words. This helps me see exactly how well the topic has been understood and correct anything that needs clarifying.
5. SUMMARY AND HOMEWORK (5 minutes)
We close the lesson by summarizing the key points covered. I then give the student a short task to practice before our next session to keep the momentum going.
