About Gemma
I am a 4th year Natural Sciences (Biology and Chemistry) student at Durham University currently completing a master's degree. I have around a year and a half tutoring experience and have experience teaching a range of students of varying levels both through course content and exam preparation. I am happy to teach Biology and Chemistry up to A-level and Maths up to GCSE level.

It is important to adapt the content and teaching method of the lesson depending on the learning style of the student. In general I will start the lesson by reviewing content from the previous lesson to ensure the students have a thorough understanding before moving on. I will then introduce the new content, go through questions with the student and then I will get the student to go through questions independently, making sure they speak aloud what they are doing as they go through. I will offer assistance when needed but the aim is to get the student to work through questions as independently as often.
