About Justin
In the past, I've worked with many students as part of a volunteer tutoring program in high school, where I tutored students grades 9-12 in various subjects (biology, calculus, chemistry, english, etc.).
Currently, I'm a second year Biochemistry (BScH)student at Queen's University in Kingston, and I plan to attend medical school after graduation. I have a passion for learning and teaching, and my goal with my students extends past just their success in the classroom. I want the students I work with to gain practical learning skills that they can use in all aspects of their academics, careers, and personal lives, so they can excel in all domains of their life.

My lessons focus on building an understanding of underlying concepts and mechanisms to provide a foundation for mastery of topics. When diving into a topic, we will go through the relevant background information required for understanding of the topic at hand, working out any gaps in knowledge so we can ensure you have a complete map of each concept we review.
My goal as a tutor is to provide a learning experience that not helps you in your current studies, but also to build the skills and habits to ensure success in future academic endeavors.
I teach biochemistry, biology, and chemistry at a high school level; I'm particularly interested in molecular genetics (how differences in structure or expression of genetic material manifests as variance in organisms) and protein structure & function.
