I adjust my teaching method based on the audience, but I generally approach each topic with a few questions: What do we know? What are we trying to solve? Is there an equation to use? Does the answer make sense? If a student isn't understanding how I approach a problem, then I will change my approach to better suit their needs. In some cases, I'm a visual learner while in others I can just read and interpret, so I take those experiences to help others achieve their academic goals.
I've published two general chemistry laboratory manuals, spent three years as a Chemistry Lab Coordinator at the University level, and am currently in a Biochemistry Ph.D. program. I've taught various numbers of students - from classroom, to group setting, to one-on-one.
