About Gavin
I am a biologist and philosopher with a passion for taking overcomplicated intelectual hogwash and reducing it in a fun way to simplest terms. I have a degree in biology and philosophy. I have worked in a cell culture and a neurobiology lab and recently as a personal trainer where I helped my clients lead healthier lives in a one-on-one setting. In high school I worked as an SAT tutor. My score in the old format was 2200.
Don't worry, though, I'm only pedantic when giving caricature. What's the point of learning if it's not fun?

I teach concepts and encourage my students not to memorize but to raise questions. If giving a lesson on mitochondria I would use vivid imagery (powerhouse of the cell) and examples (sprinters need them) and provide links to electron micrographs.
