About Kevin
I have BS and MS degrees in Biology and a PhD in Natural Resources. For eight years I was an outdoor educator designing and implementing education activities to meet state goals for K-12 students. Since 2003, I have taught at a community college and major university. At the community college, I taught numerous high school students through dual enrollment programs. For my efforts to make learning fun, relevant, and hands-on, I have received two state awards for professor of the year.

My goal is to help the student gain an appreciate of Biology while they are having fun learning.
My strategies include:
- Real world applications of topics
- Case studies to show why the knowledge is relevant
- Customizations to focus on the student's career goals
I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students. Additionally, I have also taught at the community college and university level including graduate students.
