About Thomas
I have extensive experience teaching undergraduate biology students at San Antonio College. Emphasis on anatomy and physiology. Most of my students were taking prerequisite courses for nursing school. Prior to teaching at San Antonio College, I was an Air Force Medical Service Corps officer.

About the lesson

While teaching this material, my emphasis has been on learning the concepts and applying techniques to get students to remember the material for exams and future use. I do not emphasize laboratory procedures and techniques. A certain degree of laboratory methods knowledge is certainly important but biological concept understanding, I think, is more important for a nursing student or other allied health students.
