About Kamia
Hi I'm Kamia, I have my B.S. in Biology with a minor in chemistry. I have a strong passion for the sciences and math and I'd love the opportunity to share my knowledge and understanding with others! During my four years of university I worked for one of my professors, which allowed me to do a lot of hands on research and relate class material to real situations. My experience in University as well as other customer service oriented jobs have allowed me to build strong communication skills. I love applying math and science to everyday life and look for specific examples that students can relate to. I enjoy teaching because it allows me to interact with others and help them gain confidence in their abilities.

I believe that everyone learns in a different way. I like to begin by assessing the personal needs of each individual. I cater to different learning styles by using different teaching and communication techniques that help that individual reach their desired goals and also gain an understanding of how they learn best. I believe that the best way to teach is to help people gain a deeper insight behind principles that allows them to build their critical reasoning and develop a skill set that will help them with future learning.
