About Andrea
I’m a Biology major and Chemistry minor at the University of Utah planning to go to medical school. I have experience as a teaching assistant for human anatomy and I’ve worked with students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. Outside of academics I love to read and be outside! My tutoring approach is patient, clear, and flexible. I focus on helping students truly understand the material instead of just memorizing answers. I break down complex topics into manageable parts and adapt my teaching style to how each student learns best—whether that’s through visuals, practice problems, or real-life examples.
A typical lesson begins with checking in, reviewing assignments, tackling challenging concepts, and working through practice together. My goal is for students to walk away with more confidence and tools they can use on their own.
With experience as a TA at the University of Utah, I’m comfortable explaining things clearly and connecting academic content with practical learning. I tutor middle and high school students in Math and Science, including subjects like biology, chemistry, and algebra.
I aim to make every lesson supportive, focused, and even a little fun. I really enjoy seeing students gain confidence and feel more in control of their learning.
