My teaching method involves a lot of interaction with the student(s); asking questions to test knowledge, and guiding them to answers when they need help, rather than telling answers straight out. In group settings, I like to provide powerpoints with speaker notes they can review and study on their own too.
I’m a second semester sophomore majoring in biology at Emory University. I’ve worked as a TA for both lab and lecture settings in biology for a year, and have also done private and group tutoring. I also have a strong chemistry background to supplement biology.
I had Saxon as a lab TA last semester, and she was always really polite answering questions. Even if you spend a lot of time on the same question, she won’t get upset or frustrated.
