I am a biologist with a passion for helping others learn about the complexities of the natural world. I am interested in tutoring high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in biology, and open to anyone else who may benefit from an organized and supportive science learning environment. I carefully craft my teaching to individual student needs and I am constantly learning new and betters ways to facilitate student achievement.
I am a developmental biologist pursuing a PhD at the University of Chicago. I have experience teaching and tutoring at the high school, college, and graduate level. I approach teaching as an opportunity to scaffold information and build on what my students already know. I believe that a good instructor should build student knowledge and student confidence.
