About Nicolle
Hi! My name is Nicolle, and I am a Biology major on the pre-med track at Baylor University. I have always enjoyed working with students and helping them gain confidence in subjects that may seem challenging at first.
Education has played a huge role in my life as a first-generation college student, and I understand the value of having someone who is patient, encouraging, and willing to explain concepts in different ways. I enjoy making learning engaging and helping students discover that they are capable of more than they think.
Outside of academics, I am involved in research and volunteer work, and I hope to pursue a career in healthcare where I can continue helping others. I love building positive relationships with students and creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and growing as learners.
I look forward to meeting new students and helping them achieve their goals while making learning a positive experience.

I have several years of tutoring experience working with elementary, middle school, and high school students in a variety of subjects, including math, science, reading, Spanish, and English as a Second Language (ESL).
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, creating a positive learning environment, and adapting lessons to each student's individual needs. I believe every student learns differently, so I use a combination of guided practice, visual examples, hands-on activities, and real-world connections to help concepts click. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and develop problem-solving skills rather than simply memorizing answers.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by targeted instruction on a new concept. Students then practice the skill with my guidance before working independently to reinforce their understanding. I also incorporate games, brain breaks, and interactive activities for younger learners to keep lessons engaging and enjoyable.
What sets me apart is my patience, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping students feel successful. As a future healthcare professional, I understand the importance of clear communication and meeting students where they are academically. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students develop confidence and a positive attitude toward learning.
My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students, as well as high school students seeking support in science, math, reading, Spanish, or study skills. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying on track, preparing for exams, or building foundational skills, I strive to create personalized lessons that support long-term academic growth.
