About Kieran
I'm Kieran, a junior at Cornell majoring in Biology & Society. I've also played cello for 12 years and participated in various small chamber ensembles and orchestras. I have a passion for most of the natural sciences, especially biology and physics, and the social sciences, especially psychology and sociology. My favorite subject outside of my major is probably physics. I love all types of cello playing, but mostly have experience with Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and some 20th century and contemporary solo and orchestra pieces. I love tutoring both classes I recently took as well as those I haven't since high school, and look forward to working with a variety of students across many backgrounds, ages, class levels, subjects, and learning styles.

-Teaching method adaptable to student, but generally focused on teaching how to learn & how to think about the subject, not just teaching the topic itself
-Typical lesson (varies greatly by subject) will include a few initial questions to assess what needs to be focused on, a brief summary of key concepts and ideas (starting with the student, not just talking at them), and a lot of time on tutor-aided practice with both conceptual and methodological input as needed
