About Audrey

Hi! My name is Audrey, and I’m a Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology student at UCLA. I have four years of tutoring experience in math, biology, and chemistry, and I enjoy helping students build both their understanding and confidence.

I’ve had the opportunity to help students succeed in their classes and prepare for important exams. I tutor mathematics through AP Calculus BC, biology through AP Biology, and chemistry through AP Chemistry. I earned 5s on the AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Statistics exams, giving me a strong understanding of the material and experience with AP-level coursework.

I’m committed to creating a supportive and professional learning environment tailored to each student’s needs, where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging concepts. About the lesson

My teaching style revolves around each student’s individual needs, and I strive to create a personalized and supportive learning experience. I first identify the concepts a student understands well and the areas where they need additional support. From there, I adjust my approach, whether that means reviewing lessons and challenging concepts in depth, working through practice problems together, or introducing new strategies to strengthen their understanding.

A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and addressing any questions the student has. We then focus on the concepts they find most challenging, followed by guided practice and independent problems to reinforce their understanding. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning so I can identify gaps in their understanding and help them build confidence in solving problems independently.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt to different learning styles and make challenging material approachable. Several of my students have earned A’s in their classes through tutoring, and I have also helped students in AP Calculus BC and AP Biology prepare for and earn 5s on their AP exams.

My lessons are designed for middle and high school students, particularly those seeking support in mathematics and science courses, including AP-level classes.
