About Mihira

I have had a year of experience tutoring a couple of students in middle school and high school who needed help with math and physics. As I have attended the same school as them I was able to help them navigate the school and I knew what the teacher expects of them. I was a very hardworking student and as a result I had many notes that I used to teach my students which ensured my student's success in their studies.

About the lesson

Hi! A typical session would be spending 10-15 minutes going over homework problems from a previous class or from school. These 10 to 15 minutes also serve as a review of the previous class and notes so that the student remembers what happened before and can build on top of that information with the next session. Then spending 30-40 minutes learning a new concept with worked examples of problems the student may encounter while doing homework. The remaining of class would be dedicated to practice. This is where the students try problems on their own with some guidance from me. This is just a brief outline of how I tend to structure a session but it can change depending on the student. I would like to tutor math up until 8th grade and sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) from grades 6 to 9.
