About the lesson

My teaching methods can be changed to the student, usually they are pretty descriptive with the detailed ways to get things done and then shortcuts after.

A typical tutoring session with me lasts about an hour. We start with a warm-up or review of the topics covered in the previous session, sometimes including a quick quiz to assess understanding. After ensuring the previous material is understood, I introduce a new topic. I then guide the student through practice exercises before they work independently to reinforce their learning. We end the session with a review, addressing any questions or concerns. I also assign a few problems for the student to complete before our next session.

As a biology major with a strong foundation in chemistry and math, I bring a unique interdisciplinary approach to tutoring. My deep understanding of these subjects allows me to explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable way, often drawing connections between biology, chemistry, and math to enhance comprehension. I emphasize real-world applications to help students see the relevance of what they’re learning. Additionally, my experience as a student in a STEM field allows me to relate to the challenges students face, enabling me to offer tailored guidance that builds both their confidence and skills.
The lessons I offer are tailored for high school and college students, particularly those studying biology, chemistry, and math. This includes students preparing for AP or IB exams, as well as undergraduates tackling introductory courses such as General Biology, or Calculus. I also work with students who need support in specific areas, whether they're struggling with foundational concepts, preparing for exams, or seeking to enhance their understanding for a higher level of academic performance in STEM fields.
