Hello and welcome! My name is Siri, and I am a dedicated biology enthusiast with years of experience in both academic and practical applications of the subject. My journey in the biological sciences has been fueled by curiosity and a deep appreciation for the natural world, which I strive to share with others through teaching and collaboration. I have been immersed in biology for over 5 years, beginning with my high school studies, where I excelled in advanced courses such as AP Biology. My dedication to the subject earned me the opportunity to take dual-enrollment courses at Iowa State University, where I expanded my knowledge in fields like neurobiology, anatomy & physiology, and cell biology. Beyond the classroom, I honed my skills through 6 years of participation in Science Olympiad, excelling in events like Anatomy & Physiology, Microbe Mission, and Cell Biology. These challenges refined my logical reasoning and abstract thinking, skills essential for tackling complex biological concepts. I am thrilled to share this journey with you and look forward to fostering a shared appreciation for the incredible field of biology. I have great experience teaching as an AP Biology tutor for High School students and a TA for an introductory Biology Course at the Iowa State University. I hope to incorporate teaching methodologies from my many experiences to create the perfect learning experience for you.
