First, I would try to assess the learning ability and level of students, so I can help them in a more efficient way. I am patient with students while they are learning, and I would encourage them to think and find the solutions by themselves instead of just giving them the answers. I am good at transferring complicated concepts in a simple form which avoids making students disappointed. I usually review the concepts or the solutions to a specific problem, and asking questions are more than welcome because it shows they are interested about learning.
I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University, where I maintained high GPAs at both levels; and I studied Astrophysics for two years before that. I feel confident about my ability to work as a tutor because I have 9 years experience in teaching different math subjects, physics, and chemistry for middle/high school students and college students; and I am knowledgeable about the subjects since I learned A+ or A in them during my education. I am passionate about math and science concepts, and I enjoy helping others to learn more about them.
